Care instructions
It is important to care for your high-quality products properly so as to ensure long-lasting enjoyment and a healthy and revitalising sleep. In the case of our duvets, long-lasting enjoyment means – for hygiene reasons – a maximum of 7–8 years, and 2–3 years in the case of pillows.
Everybody sweats at night. Some people sweat more, others less. On average, we lose 0.5 to 1 litre of fluid each night in the form of water vapour. So as to enjoy your great product for as long as possible, we recommend airing it regularly, drying it outdoors, and re-fluffing it gently so as get air into the filling and to dry out any remaining moisture. Avoid shaking the duvet heavily, as this risks displacing or damaging the filling. The right care will keep the duvet fresh and dry and stop it from becoming lumpy.
Regularly giving our pillows a shake directly after sleeping ensures fresh air in the filling and keeps the pillow soft and voluminous.
Caring for Paradies duvets
Duvets with Paradies Fill® textile fibre filling
Our Paradies Fill® duvets (Fill Comfort, Fill Royal, Fill Premium, Microfill®) can be washed on a gentle cycle at the maximum spin setting and at up to 60°C. Around 1/3 of the usual amount of your mild detergent (do not use fabric softener) suffices for cleaning our products. Our fibre-filling duvets can be tumble dried at a low temperature (up to 60°C). We recommend putting the fibre-filling duvet on a washing line in the shade to dry any remaining moisture. Please do not iron the fibre-filling duvets.
For the best results, please always wash and dry our duvets separately. Make sure there is at least a hand's width between the washing and the upper part of the drum. If the volume of your product is too great for your washing machine, we recommend taking it to a professional cleaner.
Paradies environmental tip:
An environmentally-friendly and energy-saving wash at 40°C is perfectly sufficient to meet the hygiene requirements of our Paradies Fill® duvets.
Paradies down duvets
Thanks to their excellent quality, Paradies down and feather duvets can be washed on a gentle cycle at 40°C and at the maximum spin setting. Around 1/3 of the usual amount of your mild detergent (do not use fabric softener) suffices for cleaning our products.
To dry a down duvet, repeat the drying process (20 mins in the dryer) at least 5 times with 2-5 washing balls. After each drying cycle, the down in the individual compartments of the duvet should be gently shaken. When shaking your down duvet, it is important that you grip the duvet by the long side, otherwise the filling might be displaced. If you can still detect moisture after the drying process, repeat until the filling is completely dry. This ensures that the down regains its full volume.
For the best results, please always wash and dry our duvets separately. Make sure there is at least a hand's width between the washing and the upper part of the drum. If the volume of your product is too great for your washing machine, we recommend taking it to a professional cleaner.
As a rule, duvets with down and feather filling should be washed only rarely as they are very sensitive.
Gently shaking your down duvet on a daily basis creates new air pockets and prevents it from becoming lumpy. Additional airing also helps to remove moisture and keep your bedclothes fresh. However, direct sunlight and moist conditions should be avoided.
There is no need to worry if a feather penetrates through the outer layer of the duvet. Carefully cut off the part of the feather outside the duvet and draw the remaining part of the feather back into the interior. This prevents a hole forming from which other feathers might emerge.
Duvets filled with Paradies Biofill® or Paradies Softcell® Cool
Duvets which are filled with Paradies Biofill® or Paradies Softcell® Cool can be washed at 40°C on a cycle for wool and at a low spin setting. Around 1/3 of the usual amount of your mild detergent (do not use fabric softener) suffices for cleaning our products.
The filling can be tumble dried at a low temperature. We recommend putting the duvet on a washing line in the shade to dry any remaining moisture.
For the best results, please always wash and dry our duvets separately. Make sure there is at least a hand's width between the washing and the upper part of the drum. If the volume of your product is too great for your washing machine, we recommend taking it to a professional cleaner.
Duvets filled with Paradies cotton or Biolana® (sheep’s wool)
Duvets filled with Paradies cotton or Paradies Biolana® can be washed at 30°C on a wool wash cycle and at a lower spin setting (max. 800 rpm). Around 1/3 of the usual amount of your detergent for wool (do not use fabric softener) suffices for cleaning our products.
The duvets should be spread out (e.g. on a fold-out clothes horse) and left to dry in the shade.
For the best results, please always wash our duvets separately. Make sure there is at least a hand's width between the washing and the upper part of the drum. If the volume of your product is too great for your washing machine, we recommend taking it to a professional cleaner.
Caring for Paradies pillows
Pillows with fibre filling
Our pillows can be machine washed, which makes caring for them easy. Around 1/3 of the usual amount of your mild detergent (do not use fabric softener) suffices for cleaning our products. Please always use a laundry bag when washing Paradies pillows.
Our fibre pillows can be tumble dried at up to 60°C. We recommend putting the pillow on a washing line in the shade to dry any remaining moisture. Washing balls which are placed in the washing machine and dryer together with the pillow keep the filling loose and prevent it from becoming lumpy.
For the best results, please always wash our pillows separately. Make sure there is at least a hand's width between the washing and the upper part of the drum. If the volume of your product is too great for your washing machine, we recommend taking it to a professional cleaner.
A regular, gentle shake keeps the pillows light and airy.

Paradies feather and down pillows
Gently shaking your feather or down pillow on a daily basis creates new air pockets and prevents it from becoming lumpy. Daily airing also helps to remove moisture and keep your bedclothes fresh. However, direct sunlight and moist conditions should be avoided.
Thanks to their excellent quality, Paradies down and feather pillows can be washed on a gentle cycle at 40°C and at the maximum spin setting. Around 1/3 of the usual amount of your mild detergent (do not use fabric softener) suffices for cleaning our products. Please always use a laundry bag when washing Paradies pillows.
To dry a down or feather pillow, repeat the drying process (20 mins in the dryer) at least 5 times with 2-5 washing balls and at a high temperature (up to 80°C). After each drying cycle, the pillow should be re-fluffed by gently shaking. If you can still detect moisture after the drying process, repeat until the filling is completely dry. This ensures that the down regains its full yet delicate volume.
For the best results, please always wash our pillow separately. Make sure there is at least a hand's width between the washing and the upper part of the drum. If the volume of your product is too great for your washing machine, we recommend taking it to a professional cleaner.
As a rule, pillows with down and feather filling should be washed only rarely because they are sensitive.
There is no need to worry if a feather penetrates through the outer layer. Carefully cut off the part of the feather outside the cover and draw the remaining part of the feather back into the interior. This prevents a hole forming from which other feathers might emerge.
Paradies neck support pillows and Paradies Flexogel® pillows
The Paradies neck support pillow covers can be washed on a gentle cycle at up to 60°C and at the maximum spin setting. Around 1/3 of the usual amount of your mild detergent (do not use fabric softener) suffices for cleaning our products.
Our neck support pillow covers can be tumble dried at a low temperature (up to 60°C). We recommend drying outdoors to remove any remaining moisture.
For the best results, please always wash and dry the covers separately.
The Paradies neck support pillow cores cannot be washed. The foam cores (Paratex®, reVita®, latex) can be freshened up occasionally by carefully rolling them. This opens the pores and helps the core to regain its original elasticity.
Paradies reForm® pillows
The Paradies reForm® pillow covers can be washed on a gentle cycle at 40°C and at the maximum spin setting. Around 1/3 of the usual amount of your mild detergent (do not use fabric softener) suffices for cleaning the Paradies reForm® cover. Please always use a laundry bag when washing the Paradies reForm® cover.
To dry a Paradies reForm® cover, repeat the drying process (20 mins in the dryer) at least 5 times with 2-5 washing balls and at a high temperature (up to 80°C). After each drying cycle, the filling of the cover should be re-fluffed by gently shaking. If you can still detect moisture after the drying process, repeat until the filling is completely dry. This ensures that the down regains its full, puffy volume.
For the best results, please always wash and dry the Paradies reForm® pillow cover separately. Make sure there is at least a hand's width between the washing and the upper part of the drum. If the volume of your product is too great for your washing machine, Paradies GmbH recommends taking it to a professional cleaner.
